The invention belongs to the technical field of power construction, and particularly relates to a multi-dimensional safety early warning device and method for transformer substation hoisting operation, and the device comprises a rotary steering engine which rotates along a crane boom of the transformer substation hoisting operation; the acquisition module comprises a camera arranged in a hoisting area, a power frequency electric field sensor arranged on a crane jib and a radar arranged on a rotary steering engine, and is used for acquiring scene information of the hoisting area of the hoisting operation of the transformer substation, electric field intensity on the crane jib and distance information between the crane jib and other equipment in the hoisting area; monitoring whether a person invades a hoisting area or not in real time through a camera; through speed matching of the radars and the rotary steering engine, the arrangement number of the radars is reduced; the safety early warning of the electric field intensity of the crane jib is realized through the power frequency electric field sensor; multi-dimensional and all-directional monitoring is carried out on the hoisting operation of the transformer substation, and zero-blind-area detection of a hoisting area is achieved; and the control module is electrically connected with the acquisition module and is used for receiving and processing the acquired acquisition module signal.
