The invention relates to the technology of automatic driving of vehicles, and particularly discloses a vehicle control method and device. The method is used for a first vehicle so as to control the time when the first vehicle merges into a main road from a ramp, and specifically comprises the steps that after it is recognized that the first vehicle enters the ramp, a set of data is obtained in real time; calculating a distance difference between the first vehicle and a second vehicle on the main road relative to the convergence point based on the group of data; and controlling the first vehicle based on the distance difference. According to the embodiment of the invention, the vehicle can be safely controlled to enter the main road from the ramp under the condition of less dependence or no dependence on a digital map and a positioning technology.

    本发明涉及自动驾驶车辆的技术,具体公开了一种车辆的控制方法及装置。该方法用于第一车辆,以对第一车辆自匝道汇入主道的时机进行控制,具体包括:在识别到第一车辆进入匝道之后,实时获取一组数据;基于所述一组数据,计算第一车辆与主道上的第二车辆相对于汇入点的距离差;以及基于所述距离差,控制第一车辆。本发明实施例,在少依赖或不依赖数字地图和定位技术的情况下,能够安全地控制车辆自匝道汇入主道。
