A primary rubber spring with small vertical rigidity and large longitudinal rigidity comprises a vulcanized body and a hollow mounting base, the vulcanized body comprises an outer sleeve, a partition plate and a mandrel which are vulcanized into a whole through a rubber body, the mounting base comprises a mounting plate and a mounting ring located above the mounting plate, and the vulcanized body is installed in the mounting ring in a pressed mode. A lifting handle is arranged on the outer side wall of the mounting base, a lifting hole is formed in the lifting handle, an assembly table is arranged at the end, away from the mounting base, of the mandrel, and an assembly hole is formed in the mounting plate. The whole rubber spring is installed on the axle box through the assembly hole, the assembly table is connected with the bogie, and during hoisting, hoisting equipment penetrates through the hoisting hole. According to the rubber spring, the primary rubber spring is designed into a structure formed by matching the vulcanized body and the mounting seat, the closed annular structure can provide large radial rigidity, and the hollow structure below the vulcanized body forms small vertical rigidity, so that the requirements of ultrahigh longitudinal and vertical rigidity ratio and large vertical deformation are met, and the rubber spring has large displacement capacity.
