The invention relates to the field of battery management systems of electric vehicles, in particular to an electric quantity correction method and system of a battery management system. The method comprises the steps that when an MCU chip receives a power-off signal, a built-in RTC is started to conduct power-off timing, the MCU chip enters a low-power-consumption mode to operate, and in the power-off timing process, the RTC judges whether the duration of power-off timing is larger than or equal to a time threshold value or not; if the duration is greater than or equal to the time threshold, the RTC awakens the MCU chip to exit the low-power-consumption mode; after the MCU chip exits from the low-power-consumption mode, the MCU chip stores the correction flag bit; after the MCU chip stores the correction flag bit, the MCU chip sends a first feedback signal to the power supply chip; when the power supply of the MCU chip is recovered by the power supply chip and the MCU chip enters the working mode again, the MCU chip judges whether a correction flag bit is stored or not; and if yes, the MCU chip carries out electric quantity correction. According to the correction method and system of the battery management system provided by the invention, static OCV correction can be realized with relatively low cost and power consumption.
