The invention provides a sideboard-free escalator pressing rail and a mounting method thereof, and belongs to the technical field of escalators. The problems that an existing escalator is heavy in weight and high in manufacturing cost are solved. The sideboard-free escalator pressing rail comprises a truss, a first vertical beam, a second vertical beam, a third vertical beam and a guide rail. A side plate in a traditional truss is directly omitted, the guide rail is connected with the first vertical beam through the first angle iron, the guide rail is connected with the second vertical beam through the second angle iron, and the guide rail is connected with the third vertical beam through the third angle iron, so that the guide rail is stably installed on the truss, and the side plate in the traditional truss is replaced. Therefore, the manufacturing cost of the truss can be effectively reduced, and the weight of the truss can be effectively reduced.
