The invention provides a method for predicting and testing a failure mode of a differential with a lock of an electric four-wheel drive. The mode that the differential with the lock may fail due to the fact that the electric four-wheel drive has a specific driving working condition on a high-adhesion road surface is predicted and tested. The method for predicting the failure mode of the differential mechanism with the lock of the electric four-wheel drive comprises the following steps: judging whether the driving working condition of the electric four-wheel drive is a first preset driving working condition or a second preset driving working condition; if the driving condition is the first preset driving condition, detecting a vehicle longitudinal rotation angle beta, a vehicle yaw velocity omega, a vehicle longitudinal speed u and an inner side wheel rotation speed omega respectively, and predicting a failure mode of the differential with the lock based on the detected data; and if the driving condition is a second preset driving condition, detecting a vehicle longitudinal turning angle beta, a vehicle yaw velocity omega, a vehicle longitudinal speed u, an inner side wheel rotating speed omega inner and an outer side wheel rotating speed omega outer respectively, and predicting a failure mode of the differential with the lock based on the detected data.
