The invention discloses an unmanned aerial vehicle release grounding hook for a power transmission line and a hanging and picking method thereof, and belongs to the field of power failure maintenance of overhead power transmission lines. Comprising a hook body capable of being hung on a wire, a suction cup arranged at the top of the hook body and capable of being attracted to a remote control electromagnet below an unmanned aerial vehicle, an upper limit arranged on the right side of the suction cup, a locking cam arranged in the center of the front face of the hook body, a pulley arranged under the locking cam and a lower limit arranged on the lower left portion of the locking cam. The unlocking mechanism is arranged below the lower limiting side, the grounding wire locking mechanism is arranged on the lower right portion of the unlocking mechanism, and the grounding wire pin, the traction rope, the gear motor, the power source and the controller are arranged in the grounding wire locking mechanism in a sleeved mode. The locking cam is connected with an output shaft of the gear motor; one end of the traction rope is connected in the grounding wire pin and penetrates out of the top end of the grounding wire pin, and the other end bypasses the pulley and is vertical to the ground; a grounding wire is fixed at the tail end of the grounding wire pin. The hook can be fixed to the wire through the unmanned aerial vehicle.
