The invention relates to the technical field of automobiles, and discloses a vehicle control method and device.The method comprises the steps that in response to a brake triggering signal, the rotating speed of a driving motor is obtained; in response to the condition that the rotating speed of the driving motor is not greater than a rotating speed threshold value, controlling the driving motor to brake in a rotating speed mode until the rotating speed of the driving motor is zero; when the rotating speed of the driving motor is larger than the rotating speed threshold value, the driving motor is controlled to be braked in a torque mode until the rotating speed of the driving motor is reduced to the rotating speed threshold value, and when the rotating speed of the driving motor is reduced to the rotating speed threshold value, the driving motor is controlled to be braked in the rotating speed mode, the rotating speed of the driving motor is zero. According to the vehicle control method and device, stable braking can be achieved.
