The deepwater floater based on the S-Lay installation technology comprises a floater body and a clamp, the floater body is two semicircular shells hinged together, the whole floater body is in an eccentric barrel shape, the geometric center of the floater body deviates to the bottom of the floater body, the section of the bottom of the floater body is in a trapezoid shape, and the clamp is arranged on the floater body. A suspension point is arranged on the back of the floater body, a spiral strake vortex-induced vibration suppression device is fixed to the outer surface of the floater body, an annular groove is formed in the floater body, the whole clamp is in a multi-section hinged circular ring shape, one hinge point can be opened, and when the floater body is in a closed state, the clamp is embedded in the groove. When the floater is used, the clamp is opened to clamp a vertical pipe, then the clamp is arranged in the groove, then the floater body is closed, and finally the whole floater is arranged on an S-Lay pipe laying ship operation line to be installed.
