The invention discloses an ocean current power generation floating type ocean platform and a working method thereof.The platform comprises a supporting assembly, a lifting assembly, an anti-heaving assembly, an ocean current power generation unit and a water supply and drainage assembly, the anti-heaving assembly is fixed to the bottom of the supporting assembly, and the anti-heaving assembly and the supporting assembly form a triangular frame structure; the three conic-curve-shaped stand columns, located at the three vertexes of a triangle, on the supporting assembly are barbaric kidney-shaped hollow column bodies, the bottom of each conic-curve-shaped stand column is provided with one ocean current generator set, the ocean current generator sets are connected with the heaving-preventing assembly, and the lifting assembly is arranged in the heaving-preventing assembly and connected with the three conic-curve-shaped stand columns. The water supply and drainage assembly passes through the interior of the lifting assembly from the interior of one conic-curve-shaped stand column and extends into the interior of the other conic-curve-shaped stand column. The conic-curve-shaped stand columns are adopted as the floating barrels, and the special linear structures of the conic-curve-shaped stand columns have better wind wave and flow resistance compared with circular and hexagonal stand columns and the like.
