本发明涉及一种适用于船舶横向自由自航的船体水动力模型试验方法,在船肿前后对称各放置一个风机,每个风机与对应的风机转速测量模块和风机推力单向力传感器构成一个推进风机系统,船体模型在横浪横向自由自航中,利用风机自适应调节转速来调节风机推力,平衡船舶不发生艏摇,过程中所测推进风机系统推力经处理转换为船舶横浪横向自由自航所受波浪力大小。船体运动不受拖车约束,而且解决了横向自由自航动力问题,又避免了船舶横向航行航向不稳定问题对船舶水动力测试和分析的影响,且能够比较准确的测量横向运动波浪漂移力。本发明提出的方法科学合理且易于实施,具有良好的推广应用前景。
