The purpose of the present invention is to effectively improve the resistance of a rear side frame to the input of a load caused by a collision of a vehicle by using a simple structure. A vehicle body rear structure according to the present invention is provided with: a rear side frame (10) extending in the front-rear direction of a vehicle body (1) on the outer side in the vehicle width direction of a floor section (2) at the rear part of the vehicle body (1); a front cross member (30) connected to a first connection portion (31) of the rear side frame (10); a rear cross member (40) connected to the rear side frame (10) at a second connection section (41) positioned further to the rear side than the first connection section (31); an arm attachment part (17) provided to the rear side frame (10); and a reinforcing member (60) extending in the vehicle width direction within a cross-section of the rear side frame (10) and reinforcing the arm attachment section (17), the reinforcing member (60) being disposed at a position between the first connection section (31) and the second connection section (41) in the front-rear direction of the vehicle body (1).
