The invention discloses a flat energy elevator safety brake device which is installed on the top or the bottom of a lift car, and a guide mechanism comprises a fixing block and a linear guide rail. The wedge-shaped block locking mechanism is arranged between the linear guide rail and one side surface of the elevator guide rail in a manner of sliding up and down along the linear guide rail; the adjusting mechanism is connected to the lower end of the wedge-shaped block locking mechanism and the bottom of the fixing block in a vertically telescopic manner; the electromagnet attraction mechanism is arranged in the adjusting mechanism; when an elevator runs normally, the electromagnet attraction mechanism is powered on and is in an attraction state, so that the adjusting mechanism is in a contraction state, and then the wedge-shaped block locking mechanism is separated from the surface of one side of the elevator guide rail; when the suspension part of the lift car is broken, the electromagnet attraction mechanism is powered off to trigger the adjusting mechanism to extend upwards, and then the wedge-shaped block locking mechanism is driven to move upwards along the linear guide rail till the wedge-shaped block locking mechanism is locked on the surface of one side of the lift guide rail. The anti-falling device is high in anti-falling safety.
