One embodiment of the present disclosure provides a rubber composition in which cellulose nanofibers are well dispersed in rubber, and which is capable of forming a molded article having excellent elastic modulus, wear resistance, and the like. One embodiment of the present disclosure provides a rubber composition containing cellulose nanofibers, a first rubber component as a liquid rubber, and a surfactant. In one embodiment, the cellulose nanofibers do not have ionic groups. Furthermore, in one embodiment, the number average molecular weight of the liquid rubber is 1,000-80,000.
