An electric propulsion system for an aircraft includes a battery, an electric propulsion assembly, and a power distribution circuit. Each battery is coupled with two or more of the electric propulsion assemblies via a respective one of the power distribution circuits. The electric propulsion assembly is positioned on the aircraft and is operable to apply a balancing force to the aircraft such that, in the event of failure, the aircraft does not experience large variations in roll, pitch, and/or yaw.
