The invention discloses a drum-type underwater steel cable entanglement automatic clearing device which comprises a shell and a first cutting assembly, the first cutting assembly is arranged on the shell, the first cutting assembly can be driven to reciprocate on a steel cable in the length direction of the steel cable, and the first cutting assembly is provided with a cutting end; the cutting end is used for cutting the floating objects moving to the steel cable. In the cleaning process of the steel cable, the cutting end cuts floating objects moving to the steel cable, and the influence of the floating objects on the buoy mark ship is effectively avoided.
