The invention relates to the technical field of vehicles, and discloses a thermal runaway monitoring method and system after power-off dormancy and electronic equipment. The method comprises the following steps: when the battery management system is in a dormant state, acquiring first battery state data of a battery pack; if it is determined that the first battery state data exceed a set battery data threshold value, the battery management system is awakened; acquiring second battery state data of the battery pack, and analyzing the second battery state data to obtain a safety assessment result of the battery pack; and determining the thermal runaway state of the battery pack according to the second battery state data and/or the safety evaluation result. Thus, when the vehicle is in the power-off dormant state, if the risk of thermal runaway exists, the battery management system can be awakened in time, the obtained battery state data are analyzed through the battery management system, accurate monitoring of the thermal runaway of the battery pack is achieved, and the safety of a vehicle owner and personnel nearby the vehicle is effectively ensured.
