The invention relates to a magnetofluid buoyancy engine which mainly comprises magnetofluid (1), a tank body (2), a floater (3), an electromagnet (4), a motor (5), a base (6) and a control system. The electromagnet and the motor are fixed on the base, the motor is connected with the tank body through a transmission shaft, and the tank body is arranged on one side of the electromagnet; and the magnetic fluid and the floater are arranged in the tank body. According to the space engine, a magnetic fluid artificial gravity field is utilized, the buoyancy effect is generated in the space, and the floating direction of a floater in the magnetic fluid is the direction in which a spacecraft generates acceleration. The thrust generated by the engine can reach the Newton (N) level, and the electromagnetic space engine is low in energy consumption and large in thrust.
