The invention relates to a tower group safety operation automatic monitoring device and a control method thereof, the tower group safety operation automatic monitoring device comprises a tower arm monitoring unit, an amplitude change measuring unit, a weight measuring unit, a central control unit and a data processing unit, the central control unit is installed in a cab, and the data processing unit is connected with the central control unit. The tower arm monitoring unit, the amplitude change measuring unit and the weight measuring unit are connected with the data processing unit, the tower arm monitoring unit is installed on a tower body and a tower crane big arm, the amplitude change unit is installed on a lifting hook and a variable amplitude trolley, and the weight measuring unit is installed on the variable amplitude trolley. According to the design, the working safety of the single tower crane can be ensured, and the mutual collision of the tower cranes during working can be prevented.
