The invention discloses an elevator system. A first display device of the elevator system is located between a building entrance and an elevator hall of a floor where the building entrance is located. The detection device detects elevator passengers entering a building, obtains a passenger target floor and sends elevator passenger information, the elevator calling signal generation module generates elevator calling signals according to the elevator passenger information, and the elevator group management system distributes response elevator identifications according to the elevator calling signals and sends the response elevator identifications to the display control device. And the display control device controls the first display device to display the response elevator identifier. The elevator system can automatically complete target building registration of passengers, and after the passengers enter the building entrance and move to the elevator hall along the path from the building entrance to the elevator hall, the elevator passengers in the path can see the response elevator identifier displayed by the first display device; a passenger can know the response elevator identifier before arriving at the elevator hall, so that the passenger can smoothly arrive at the response elevator position, and the passenger can complete elevator taking without any operation.
