The vehicle control method comprises the steps that the first wheel speed of a left front wheel, the second wheel speed of a right front wheel, the third wheel speed of a left rear wheel, the fourth wheel speed of a right rear wheel and the transmission shaft rotating speed of a transmission shaft are obtained; obtaining a first vehicle speed of the first axle according to the first wheel speed and the second wheel speed; obtaining a second vehicle speed of the third axle according to the third wheel speed and the fourth wheel speed; the average speed between the second axle and the third axle is obtained according to the transmission shaft rotating speed and the rear axle speed ratio; the slipping state of the vehicle is determined according to the first wheel speed, the second wheel speed, the third wheel speed, the fourth wheel speed, the first vehicle speed, the second vehicle speed and/or the average vehicle speed; the vehicle is controlled to execute the differential control strategy according to the slipping state, the vehicle control method can solve the problem of slipping between axles or between tires, the utilization rate of driving force of the vehicle is increased, tire abrasion is reduced, and combination and separation of a differential lock are controlled through an electromagnetic valve.
