The invention relates to the technical field of robot joints, in particular to a robot joint auxiliary mechanism and a using method thereof. A robot joint auxiliary mechanism comprises a first connecting assembly and a second connecting assembly, the first connecting assembly is provided with a first connecting end suitable for being fixed to a thigh rod piece, the second connecting assembly is provided with a second connecting end suitable for being fixed to a shank rod piece, and the first connecting assembly and the second connecting assembly are connected in a buckled mode. An accommodating space is formed; the adjusting assembly comprises a rotating piece rotationally connected with the first connecting assembly and a first elastic piece connected with the second connecting assembly, and the other end of the first elastic piece is fixed to the rotating piece; the rotating piece has a first state in which the rotating piece is fixed relative to the first connecting assembly and a second state in which the rotating piece rotates relative to the first connecting assembly. The invention provides a robot joint auxiliary mechanism capable of saving energy and long in endurance time and a using method thereof.
