The invention relates to an aircraft, and aims to alleviate resistance borne by a boom during cruising. This aircraft is provided with: a fuselage; a front wing and a rear wing which are provided so as to extend laterally from the fuselage and which generate lift force during cruising; a boom (18) which is supported by the front wing and the rear wing so as to be separated from the fuselage; and at least one VTOL rotor which is supported by the boom and which has one or more blades which generate thrust force in the vertical direction during take-off and landing. The boom has a shape in which the main body portion bends in a direction away from the fuselage with respect to the front end and the rear end in plan view and extends in the front-rear direction, and has a cross-sectional shape in which the upper side bends smoothly, the boom tapers from the upper side to the lower side, and the lower side is substantially flat in front view. Since the boom has a cross-sectional shape in which the upper end thereof is smoothly curved, the boom tapers from the upper side to the lower side, and the lower side thereof is substantially flat in front view, turbulence of airflow can be eliminated or suppressed, air resistance borne by the boom during cruising can be mitigated, and cruising can be performed with small resistance.
