The invention discloses a control method of a vehicle transmission system and a vehicle. The invention relates to the field of hybrid electric vehicles, and discloses a method for controlling hybrid electric vehicles, and the method comprises the steps that the current mode of the vehicle is obtained, and the current mode of the vehicle comprises one of the following modes: a pure electric mode, a series mode, a parallel mode and an energy recovery mode; the state of a transmission system of the vehicle is controlled based on the current mode of the vehicle, the transmission system comprises a first clutch, a second clutch, a third clutch, an engine, a first motor, a second motor and a power battery, the first motor is connected with the first clutch through a first shaft, and the engine is connected with the second clutch through a second shaft. The first shaft and the second shaft are concentric shafts, the third clutch is connected with the second motor through a gear, and the first clutch, the second clutch and the third clutch are used for transmitting mechanical torque. The technical problem that the working efficiency of a vehicle transmission system in the related technology is low is solved.
