The carangidae-imitating robotic fish comprises a fish body, a fish head, a driving mechanism and a tail part, the driving mechanism comprises a balance weight box, a stepping motor, a steering engine, a gear set and a universal coupling, the balance weight box is arranged in the fish head, a controller is arranged in the balance weight box, the steering engine and the stepping motor are arranged on the balance weight box and connected with the controller, the steering engine is connected with the universal coupling through a first supporting frame, a second supporting frame is arranged on the side face of the first supporting frame, and the second supporting frame is connected with the gear set. The gear set is arranged on the second supporting frame, and the universal coupling is meshed with the gear set; the tail part comprises a plurality of tail sections, a plurality of driving fish wires and a fish tail, the plurality of tail sections are sequentially arranged, the tail section located at the front end is connected to the fish tail bottom plate, the tail section located at the rear end is connected with the fish tail, one end of each driving fish wire is connected to the driving mechanism, and the other end of each driving fish wire sequentially penetrates through the middle of the corresponding tail section and is connected to the tail section at the rear end.
