The invention relates to a vehicle having a brake booster (1) and a sensor (2) for directly or indirectly detecting the weight of the vehicle, in which a plurality of brake assist characteristic curves for determining the brake deceleration of the vehicle are stored, and which are each suitable for different load situations of the vehicle, the adjusting method comprises the following steps of S1, collecting an output signal of the sensor (2), S2, selecting the brake assistance characteristic curve according to the output signal, and S3, adjusting the brake deceleration according to the brake assistance characteristic curve.
