According to the crawling control method of the robot, a first swing arm and a second swing arm which are rotationally hinged to each other are included, the hinged ends of the first swing arm and the second swing arm are driven by a first motor to be opened and closed, and the free ends of the first swing arm and the second swing arm are rotationally hinged to a first mounting base and a second mounting base correspondingly; the free end of the first swing arm and the first mounting base are driven by a second motor to rotate relatively, the free end of the second swing arm and the second mounting base are driven by a third motor to rotate relatively, and a first steering engine and a first support connected to an output shaft of the first steering engine are mounted on the first mounting base. A second steering engine and a second support connected to an output shaft of the second steering engine are mounted on the second mounting seat, and sawing equipment or a material containing basket is mounted on the first swing arm, the second swing arm or the hinged position of the first swing arm and the second swing arm. The robot can cut special tree branches influencing electric power facilities or provide installation parts for workers who conduct installation operation on electric poles.
