The method comprises the following steps: when a vehicle on an intercommunication ramp safely merges into a target lane, automatically calculating the average headstock distance and the average vehicle speed of the vehicle in the target lane, and recording the environmental condition at the moment; discretizing the average vehicle speed, enabling the discrete vehicle speed to correspond to the average vehicle head distance under the environment condition, and automatically updating the calculated average vehicle head distance by utilizing the average vehicle head distance corresponding to the subsequent same environment condition and the discrete vehicle speed; and obtaining a corresponding table of different discrete vehicle speeds and average headstock distances under various environment conditions, and performing adaptive control on the interchange ramp vehicle according to the corresponding table.
