An energy efficiency monitoring method for a marine main engine high-temperature fresh water cooling system comprises an energy efficiency evaluation process, a fault monitoring process and a heat exchanger judgment process, all the processes are based on collected data of a main engine, a heat exchanger and a water pump, energy efficiency is calculated firstly, and then the energy efficiency and corresponding working conditions serve as basic units of a historical database. Firstly, data in a historical database is screened according to working condition data so as to select data required when an energy efficiency evaluation process, a fault monitoring process and a heat exchanger judgment process are carried out, and then corresponding threshold judgment is carried out so as to realize energy efficiency evaluation, fault existence, fault type, heat exchanger fault judgment and the like. According to the design, the energy efficiency of the high-temperature fresh water cooling system of the marine main engine can be monitored, the energy consumption loss can be reduced, and daily maintenance is facilitated.
