The computing device includes a processor and a memory including instructions such that the processor is configured to: convert vehicle dynamics data to corresponding road geometry data; calculating a rationalization value based on a difference between the road geometry data and map-based road geometry data; and determining whether to modify the vehicle state based on the rationalization value.
