A fully autonomous vehicle, AV. An apparatus is provided that includes processing circuitry and a plurality of sensors coupled to a vehicle, where at least one of the plurality of sensors is located on a chassis of the vehicle. The plurality of sensors may detect a change in a road on which the vehicle is traveling. The plurality of sensors may also generate information corresponding to changes in the road. The plurality of sensors may also send information corresponding to changes in the road to the processing circuitry. The information collected by the plurality of sensors may then be used to enhance the drivability of the vehicle.
