The invention discloses a hoisting method for an upper structure of a quay crane. The hoisting method comprises the following steps: S1, shifting and arranging a front girder and a rear girder; s2, a trapezoidal frame and a rear supporting rod are hoisted; s3, hoisting a machine room and a rear pull rod, and arranging a trolley track; s4, the rear girder is lifted, and the trolley, the cab and the maintenance platform are hoisted; s5, finally, the rear girder is hoisted; and S6, butting a front girder, installing a pitching steel wire rope and connecting a front pull rod. The production capacity can be improved, and the cost can be reduced and the efficiency can be improved.
