The invention relates to a method for controlling an actuator acting on a wheel of a motor vehicle (1), the method comprising the following steps:-determining a force (Fxd, Fyd, Mzd) to act on a reference point of the motor vehicle on the basis of a driver setting (axd, [delta] fd),-determining the force (Fxd, Fyd, Mzd) to act on the reference point of the motor vehicle by means of a first dynamic assignment by model-based predictive control (MPC), the invention relates to a method for operating a motor vehicle, comprising the steps of:-determining a wheel force (Fxid, Fyd) to act on a wheel in order to implement a force (Fxd, Fyd, Mzd) to act on a reference point of the motor vehicle,-determining a setpoint of a wheel parameter (Tmjd, Tbjd) as a function of the determined wheel force (Fxid, Fyd),-controlling an actuator of the motor vehicle in order to implement the setpoint of said wheel parameter (Tmjd, Tbjd).
