The invention belongs to the technical field of naval vessel shaft frequency electric field protection, and discloses a shaft housing variable resistor simulation system and method, and the system comprises a resistor array module which achieves the adjustment of the waveform, amplitude and frequency of an output resistor through changing the state of a switching tube; the main control module is used for controlling the working state of the switching tube according to the external IO state of the set waveform, amplitude and frequency; the IO module is used for realizing state setting of an IO port through a knob switch and an isolation optocoupler device; and the shaft rotation speed acquisition module is used for automatically setting the change frequency of the output resistance to be consistent with the rotation frequency of the ship model shaft through the obtained ship model shaft rotation speed, and accurately simulating the shaft frequency electric field of the ship model. The device is used for simulating the shaft frequency electric field of the naval vessel, and has the advantages of abundant waveforms, adjustable amplitude, adjustable frequency, no need of maintenance, high accuracy and the like. The method is beneficial to analysis of ship shaft frequency electric field characteristics, development of research contents such as shaft frequency electric field protection research and the like, and the research efficiency and accuracy are improved.
