The method comprises the following steps: determining a first event and a second event associated with the first event; obtaining first event information of the first event and second event information of the second event; calculating the correlation degree of the first event and the second event according to the first event information and the second event information; the first event information comprises at least one of the following items: the type of the first event, the occurrence time of the first event, the duration of the first event, the average speed of a first road section where the first event occurs, the average flow of the first road section, the slippery degree of the first road section and the visibility of the first road section; the second event information comprises at least one of the following items: the event type and duration of the second event. According to the scheme of the invention, quantitative calculation can be carried out on the correlation degree between traffic events.
