The invention discloses a combined type pressure wave control system and method for a power concentration motor train unit. The combined type pressure wave control system comprises pressure protection before and after entering a tunnel, pressure protection after entering the tunnel and pressure protection before and after leaving the tunnel. The pressure protection before and after entering the tunnel adopts a pressure wave valve closing mode for pressure protection; the pressure protection after entering the tunnel adopts the combination of passive pressure protection and forced pressure wave valve control protection; the pressure protection before and after the tunnel exit adopts a pressure wave valve closing mode for pressure protection. According to the system, in-vehicle pressure protection and air quality can be greatly guaranteed when the vehicle runs in and out of the tunnel, in and out of the continuous tunnel group, in and out of the short tunnel and in the tunnel, the comfort of passengers is improved, and a technical basis is provided for running of the power-concentrated motor train unit in a more complex line environment.
