The application relates to a system for determining vehicle damage and drivability and for connecting to a remote service. A server for a telematics system includes a processor and a memory. An application stored in the memory includes instructions executable by the processor and configured to receive vehicle data from a vehicle located remotely from the server via a telematics system of the vehicle. The vehicle data includes a sampled position of the vehicle after the vehicle is involved in a collision event, measured vehicle data, and vehicle diagnostic data. The application generates a vehicle damage report based on vehicle data sampled after the vehicle is involved in the collision event, and generates a drivability score for the vehicle based on the vehicle damage report.
