The invention relates to a drive device for a vehicle. The purpose of the present invention is to improve the responsiveness of a drive torque to a driver operation when a predetermined travel mode is set. When a predetermined travel mode in which the responsiveness of the drive torque to the driver operation is set as the travel mode of the vehicle, the power of the engine required by the driver operation is maintained, and the target electric path amount is increased and corrected. The output torque of the first rotating electrical machine is controlled so that the electrical path amount from the first rotating electrical machine to the second rotating electrical machine becomes the electrical path amount corrected by the increase of the target electrical path amount, and the second rotating electrical machine is driven. Thus, the output torque of the second rotating electric machine can be increased in a state where the power of the engine used to achieve the drive power required by the driver's operation is the same, and the output torque of the second rotating electric machine can be used more. As a result, when the predetermined travel mode is set, the responsiveness of the drive torque to the driver operation can be improved.
