The invention provides a system and a method for bidirectional charging between a motorized vehicle and a motorized recreational vehicle. Systems and methods for coordinating and performing bi-directional energy transfer events between a motorized vehicle and one or more participating motorized recreational vehicles are disclosed. During a bi-directional energy transfer event, energy may be transferred from the motorized vehicle to the one or more motorized recreational vehicles, from the one or more motorized recreational vehicles to the motorized vehicle, or both. The proposed systems and methods may also be configured to provide various charging configurations between the motorized vehicle and one or more motorized recreational vehicles.
