The invention discloses a monitoring system and method for high-altitude hoisting machinery inspection operation, the system comprises an RFID electronic tag, an unmanned aerial vehicle, a remote controller, a mobile client, a background system client and a background cloud system, the background system client newly builds an inspection monitoring task and transmits the inspection monitoring task to the mobile client, and the mobile client sends the inspection monitoring task to the unmanned aerial vehicle; a high-altitude inspection worker selects a task on the mobile client and executes the task, an RFID electronic tag arranged in a safety helmet of the inspection worker assists the unmanned aerial vehicle in positioning, meanwhile, the unmanned aerial vehicle shoots related videos and images, detects postures of the inspection worker, carries out analysis and early warning, and transmits the videos and the images to the background system client for checking. According to the method, original operation materials are provided for monitoring of the whole maintenance operation, and the credibility of the two parties is improved; the whole process of monitoring operation is integrated into a complete traceable system, so that task related information can be quickly stored and searched; and operators do not need to directly participate in monitoring operation, so that the safety of the high-altitude operators is ensured.
