本申请提供了一种巡航模式的控制方法及装置。所述方法包括:先循环获取目标车辆的行驶速度,然后响应于行驶速度小于第一速度阈值,控制目标车辆进入加速状态;响应于行驶速度大于第二速度阈值,控制目标车辆进入滑行状态,第二速度阈值大于所述第一速度阈值。这样,在巡航模式中通过加速状态、滑行状态的循环来实现巡航功能,使得车辆在加速状态下,通过增加发动机的阻力,提高发动机的负荷率,从而提高了发动机热效率;在滑行状态下,发动机在怠速运行,降低了油耗率,达到了降低百公里油耗的效果。如此,可以在环境、路况良好,道路上前后车距足够的情况下使发动机运行工况集中于最佳油耗区,从而达到更好的节能效果。
