In the vehicle brake system (2), a friction disc (21) and an outer ring (22o) of a thrust bearing are fixed together with a rim assembly (11) of a wheel (1) in the circumferential direction, and an inner ring (22i) of the thrust bearing faces an inner ring (13i) of a wheel bearing. When the brake assembly abuts against the friction disc (21), on one hand, friction torque generated between the brake assembly and the friction disc (21) can enable the rotating speed of the rim assembly (11) and the rotating speed of the wheel (1) to be reduced, and therefore the braking effect is achieved; on the other hand, the (axial) pressure applied to the friction disc (21) by the braking assembly is transmitted to the inner ring (13i) of the wheel bearing through the thrust bearing instead of being transmitted to the outer ring (13o) of the wheel bearing, so that the phenomenon that the outer ring (13o) and the inner ring (13i) generate relative displacement in the braking process of the wheel bearing is avoided, and the service life of the wheel bearing is prolonged. Over-abrasion and noise generated in the braking process are reduced or even eliminated.
