The invention discloses an idle-time elevator stopping floor recommendation method and system, belongs to the technical field of data analysis and processing, and aims to solve the technical problem of how to determine the stopping floor of an elevator when the elevator is in an idle-time state so as to improve the use experience of a user and the use efficiency of the elevator. Comprising the following steps that the floor staying frequency of an elevator on each floor within a preset time period is counted, and the floor staying frequency is the staying frequency of the elevator on each floor when the elevator is in an idle state; calculating a floor distance from each floor to the ground; and on the basis of the floor stopping frequency and the floor spacing, the optimal stopping floor of the elevator in the idle state is recommended through a shortest path calculation method.
