The invention belongs to the technical field of automobiles, and particularly relates to a system and method for automatically unlocking an automobile door after collision. The unlocking system comprises a safety airbag control unit, a micro gas generator unlocking module and a vehicle door lock. The micro gas generator unlocking module is arranged on a car door lock; the safety air bag control unit sends out a collision signal after detecting a collision accident, ignition current is directly transmitted to the micro gas generator unlocking module on the automobile door lock through the ignition current signal transmission wire harness, and a gas generator drives the door lock to complete unlocking after being ignited. A miniature gas generator unlocking structure is additionally arranged in the automobile door lock, the safety airbag control unit is used for directly transmitting an ignition current signal to ignite the automobile door lock, the door lock is driven to execute the unlocking action, the system can be quickly unlocked after an accident occurs, the system is not influenced by power failure of a low-voltage storage battery, and the reliability of the unlocking system is improved.
