The invention provides a battery energy storage system and an electric vehicle. The battery energy storage system comprises a shell, a battery module, a temperature control assembly and a flow guide part, and a spoiler for dividing the internal space of the shell into a first space and a second space which are independent from each other is arranged in the shell. The battery module comprises a module shell and a battery cell, two ends of the module shell are respectively provided with a first opening communicated with the first space and a second opening communicated with the second space, and the module shell is arranged on the spoiler. The temperature control assembly is arranged on the shell, a temperature control channel and a heat exchange device located in the temperature control channel are arranged in the temperature control assembly, and the two ends of the temperature control channel are provided with a first circulation opening communicating with the first space and a second circulation opening communicating with the second space correspondingly. The first space, the internal space of the module shell, the second space and the temperature control channel form a circulation channel. The flow guide part is arranged in the circulation channel and used for guiding the heat exchange medium in the circulation channel to flow in the first direction or the second direction.
