The invention discloses a working mode management method for chemical propulsion orbit control, which comprises the following steps of: 1, entering an orbit control attitude adjustment mode when attitude adjustment starting time is reached according to an orbit control data packet; 2, after the orbit control attitude adjusting mode is started, whether the attitude adjusting process is normal or not is judged, and if yes, the attitude adjusting process continues to be carried out till the air injection starting time is reached; if yes, quitting orbit control, and outputting an orbit control quitting reason; step 3, according to the orbit control data packet, entering an orbit control air injection mode when air injection starting time is reached; 4, after the orbit control air injection mode is started, whether the air injection process is normal or not is judged, if yes, the air injection process continues to be carried out till the air injection ending time is reached, orbit control is ended, and the output orbit control quitting reason is that normal ending is carried out; and if yes, quitting the orbit control, and outputting the reason for quitting the orbit control. Chemical propulsion orbit control is divided into two working modes, namely, an orbit control attitude adjusting mode and an orbit control air injection mode, so that an orbit control stage is conveniently and clearly tracked.
