The invention discloses heavy-load conveying equipment and a conveying control method.The heavy-load conveying equipment comprises a moving platform, a track, a workpiece feeding area and an assembling area, the workpiece feeding area and the assembling area are arranged along the track, and the workpiece feeding area comprises a driving device, a workpiece feeding station and a first auxiliary station; a first driving assembly of the driving device drives the moving platform passing through the feeding station to move to the first auxiliary station along the track, a second driving assembly drives the moving platform passing through the first auxiliary station to move to the assembling area along the track, and the output power of the first driving assembly is smaller than that of the second driving assembly; the assembling area comprises a plurality of assembling stations, and the number of the moving platforms is set to meet the requirement that the sum of the lengths of the moving platforms located in the workpiece feeding area and the assembling area is larger than the length of the track of the assembling area. Therefore, the moving platform driven by the second driving assembly to the initial assembling station can push the moving platforms on the other assembling stations to achieve unpowered conveying. The device is simple and reliable in structure, low in production cost and capable of being shared by various vehicle types.
