The invention discloses a system for estimating the motion sickness state of a passenger. The system comprises a vehicle sensing module, a riding environment sensing module, a passenger posture sensing module, a passenger head motion excitation estimation module, a passenger motion sickness state estimation module, a passenger motion sickness state estimation model correction module and a user interaction feedback module. The vehicle sensing module is responsible for sensing vehicle motion excitation; the riding environment sensing module is responsible for sensing the environment inside and outside the vehicle; the passenger posture sensing module is responsible for detecting the riding posture of a passenger in the vehicle; the passenger head motion excitation estimation module is responsible for estimating passenger head motion excitation; the passenger motion sickness state estimation module is responsible for estimating the motion sickness degree accumulated by the passenger from getting on to the current moment; the user interaction feedback module is responsible for collecting information of passengers and giving current motion sickness states of the passengers. According to the method, the motion sickness degree accumulated by the passenger from getting on to the current moment can be accurately estimated.
