The invention relates to a method for implementation by means of a processing device, in which a first planned vehicle trajectory is evaluated with respect to a potential safety hazard situation for a received second planned vehicle trajectory, and if a potential safety hazard situation is detected, the second planned vehicle trajectory is evaluated with respect to the potential safety hazard situation. The planned trajectory of the second vehicle is transmitted for receipt by the first vehicle by means of a transmitting device adapted to communicate over a mobile radio network. The invention further relates to a method for execution by means of a communication device of a first vehicle or of an infrastructure device, the planned trajectory of the first vehicle is transmitted by means of a mobile radio interface of the first vehicle or the infrastructure device and by means of a communication interface of the first vehicle or the infrastructure device provided for direct vehicle-to-X communication. The invention further relates to a method for avoiding a potential safety-critical traffic situation between a first vehicle and a second vehicle, to a processing device, to a communication device and to a system.
