The invention relates to a method for checking a KI-based information processing system for use in partially or fully automatically controlling a vehicle, in which at least one sensor of the vehicle provides sensor data, the detected sensor data is evaluated by means of a KI-based information processing system arranged in a first control device of the vehicle, and at least one output for controlling the vehicle is generated on the basis of the evaluated sensor data and provided to a control unit of the vehicle, wherein the KI-based information processing system is verified by means of at least one test method by means of a test device arranged in a second control device of the vehicle, and wherein test results of the at least one test method used are stored in a multi-dimensional data structure in a database arranged in the vehicle with reference to the tested KI-based information processing system and the at least one test method. The invention further relates to a corresponding device.
